Gary as a Player

After playing Raquetball and Tennis for most of his life, Gary discovered Pickleball in 2018 just about the time he was retiring as a Pastor. Since that time Gary set out to go for the Gold in Pickleball. He had to take the time to learn to transfer his game from Raquetball and Tennis to Pickleball. After about a year of learning the game Gary entered his first two tournaments where he won a bronze medal. Since then, he went onto win silver and finally, after about a year, he won his first three gold medals in back-to-back tournaments in the same week. Gary has continued to work on improving his game as he climbs the rating ladder and keeps winning gold medals along the way. You can check out Gary's style of play below.

Some of his other goals were to play in the Huntsman World Senior Games in Utah and to play at the USA Pickleball Nationals Championship. Those goals were accomplished in 2022 and each year since then he has played in the USA Nationals at its various locations.

Gary as a coach

After several years of traveling across the United States playing tournaments Gary then started the process of obtaining his certification as a Pickleball coach. His desire was to help other people "Go for the Gold in Pickleball and Life. Since that time Gary has conducted Beginner's and Intermediate classes and clinics across the United States. He also came up with the idea of the Coach's Club for those in the Payson and Arizona area. This offers you the opportunity to have FREE lessons for a small monthly membership fee.
