Basic Rules
Serve: Must be an underhand motion where you strike the ball below your waist in an upward manner. The paddle head must be lower than your wrist. Feet must stay behind baseline until contact has been made with the ball. At least one foot must be in contact with the ground. Serve has to land into the service box. Hitting the lines (except the Kitchen line) makes theĀ serve good.
Double Bounce Rule: The ball must bounce on both sides of the court. Once before the receiving team hits the ball and once when the ball is returned to the service team.
NVZ: No Volley Zone also known as the Kitchen. You cannot hit a ball out of the air while in this zone and you cannot step into this zone after hitting a ball out of the air (volley). If the ball bounces first, then you can then step into the Kitchen to hit it
Out of bounds: A ball must stay in bounds which includes touching any of the out of bounds lines. A ball must be clearly outside of the line to be considered out.
Score: Most games are played to a score of 11 and must be won by two points once a game reach a scroe of 10 to 10. You can only score when your team serves the ball.
Serves: Each team gets two serves. Each partner gets a chance to serve until they lose their serve. Once both partners have lost their serves the ball goes to the other team (side out). The exception to this rule is the start of the game when only one partner gets to serve. After that they both get to serve throughout the rest of the game. When a person is ready to serve they must announce their score first and then the other team's score next followed what server they are. (either the first or second server).
